Losing weight after having a baby is one of the hardest things to do for many females – whether you
are a celebrity mum or not.
It is so easy to put on extra weight during a pregnancy, but so hard to lose it once the baby is
born.
So how do all the celebrity mums lose their extra weight and get back their gorgeous figures?
Heather Mills, Brooke Burke, Jamie Pressly, Heidi Klum and Keri Russell are all famous mothers who
have utilized exercise plans and diet after their pregnancy.
Heather Mills, former model, keeps up her exercise by dancing, Pilates and
yoga.
She is on a vegan diet and works out with weight training or riding her bike while her bub sleeps.
She says her workouts help to give her energy during the day.
Most people would find it hard to work out and travel a lot like Heather does but she keeps it up
with the help of a variety of trainers, depending on where she is.
After hiking three times a week and doing Pilates, Brooke Burke managed to have her perfect figure
back within six months of having a baby girl in 2007. A low-carb diet also helped do the trick.
One of the most motivated celebrity moms who lost their extra weight after a pregnancy was Jaime
Pressly.
Jamie went on a seven day detox plan which began with cabbage soup and veggies. By day six Jamie
would have a potato and grilled chicken as well. Now she does a 3 hour workout with her trainer 5 days a week which
involves sit-ups and push-ups. Her diet is very strict with high protein content and she eats 4 to 6 mini meals
every day.
Heidi Klum is a celebrity mum and a supermodel.
She is on David Kirsch’s diet program which has low carbohydrate and low calories content. Like a
lot of celebrities, Heidi sticks to portion control.
Although she does not like to work out, Heidi Klum started David Kirsch’s exercise program six
weeks after giving birth to her baby. This involves squats, thrusts, light stretching, shadowboxing, jumping jacks,
benches step-ups and push-ups and lunges.
After having her son, Keri Russell lost her baby weight incredibly fast!
In the mornings, Keri does yoga and she speed walks on a treadmill twice a day. Keri eats fruit for
breakfast to detoxify and get her body going. Lunch and dinner are high protein, low fat and low carbohydrate
meals. Keri says her speedy weight loss is partly due to breast-feeding and she also went for walks with her new
born.
The main difference between celebrity mums and other mums is a lot of celebrity moms have
their own personal trainers and coaches.
Apart from that, they try to eat healthy diets sometimes low in carbohydrates, sometimes high in
protein just like most other mums. This, combined with a good amount of regular exercise, helps bring back their
body shape.
