Natural Hair Loss Shampoos for Healthy Hair

You have probably worked out by now there are heaps of causes surrounding hair loss problems.

Apart from the usual nutritional problems and genetics which are usually often blamed, hair falling out can often be blamed on the lack of care for the hair.

Hair loss shampoos are where you should look first.

When your hair is not looked after it can easily get damaged and lose its natural lustre. To start with you will get split ends and it will also cause slow hair loss.

If you find this is happening to you, then look at what needs to be taken into account to help your hurt hair.

One key point in helping your hair is to be careful with what shampoos you are using.

Knowing the ingredients and their properties will help you keep your hair where it belongs. This should be one of the first things you look at in the prevention of hair loss.

Before choosing a shampoo, you need to take into account your hairs natural pH. Apart from cleaning your hair, shampoo is designed to balance your hair’s pH.

Hair usually has a pH between 4.5 and 5.5 which is acidic and directly relates to the balance of the rest of your body.

Ingredients in shampoos and dyes change this balance.

For example, bleaching your hair causes the cuticles – which protect your hair – to lift which allows easy damage to your hair.

When trying to stop your hair falling out, the pH level in your shampoo must be one of the first things considered.

Natural hair loss shampoos are mostly soap based and have an assortment of oils in them.

Sodium or potassium hydroxides are often added to the mixture, creating a pH of somewhere around seven. This creates an alkaline-based concoction and causes an imbalance of your hairs nutrients.

This is not to say all natural shampoos are bad for your hair. Better ones with lower pH such as soapbark, soapwort or soapberry do not strip away the protective layer and leave your hair brighter than other natural shampoos.

Some folks who do use natural shampoos add lemon or vinegar to the mixture to restore the pH in their hair.

Although natural shampoos are often considered healthier, the fact remains they can do more damage than good and causes an imbalance to your hair’s pH.

This should be taken into account if you are dealing with hair loss or dull, dry, damaged hair.

When choosing a hair loss shampoo make sure you check the pH.

Get it right and you will have healthier hair which will look better and make you feel great!
