There are several ways you can get rid of unwanted hair. Perhaps you suffer from
hypertrichosis or hirsutism?
Or maybe you just don’t like some of the hair in the places it is growing on your body?
Either way, there are a many options available to remove this hair!
There are two hair removal categories: permanent and temporary.
Techniques which are deemed as “permanent” seek to remove all unwanted hair -never to be
returned. Occasionally these procedures must be repeated once or twice to become permanent, lest it
semi-permanent.
Some hair removal procedures are “temporary” as they only last for a short amount of time
and stay in time with the body’s normal hair growth cycle.
Permanent hair removal is usually treated by a licensed Esthetician or hair removal
specialist.
Estheticians may conduct temporary hair removal procedures but there are also lots of treatments
which are easy to do at home as well.
Shaving legs and underarms, having pubic hair trimmed or removed and shaping eyebrows are all part
of most women’s normal cosmetic routine – to keep up with modern fashions.
Men also may shave their body hair- especially facial hair which is most common.
Many athletes – especially swimmers and body builders go through hair removal to improve their
performance, image, or both.
Medical reasons are often reasons for removing hair or sometimes people do so just because they
feel like it!
