 Whitening Strips

What are Teeth Whitening Strips?

Tooth whitening strips are a relatively new product containing peroxide gel and are very simple and convenient to use.

They are available at most good pharmacies and drugstores to help people whiten their teeth in the comfort of their own homes.

The strips are almost invisible and are applied to the teeth twice daily for 30 minutes each treatment and they cause a minimum of discomfort to the user.

Whitestrips can be very effective in whitening teeth up to 3 to 4 shades in only one to four weeks but usually you will see some degree of results within a few days of use. The results can last up to 4 months.

Before applying the strips, brush and floss well, rinse your mouth out with cool water, then follow the directions on the strip package to ensure the best results.

The bleaching strips are best used in combination with whitening toothpaste, and in fact this is how most strip kits are sold.

A concern with tooth whitening strips is that you will end up with inconsistently whitened teeth but this problem can be decreased by careful application of the strips, as well as brushing regularly with the whitening toothpaste.

Whitening strips are by far the cheapest form of tooth whitening kits available on the market.

Prices start from as little as $20 ranging up to $60 or more for the higher quality products.

But, as with any form of chemical treatment you must be careful to fully read the instructions and carry out the treatment strictly as directed on the whitestrips packet so as not to cause any irritation to your gums.
